jQuery is a freely available JavaScript library that dramatically simplifies the process of designing and building modern, highly interactive web user interfaces. Integrating closely with HTML and CSS, jQuery's concise syntax creates sophisticated interactions and effects with very little code. You can modify HTML page elements on the fly, handle mouse and keyboard events, and create innovative user interface elements such as tabs, scrollable elements, tooltips and overlays.

Requirements: you should have a good understanding of HTML and CSS.

We recommend that you attend our Demystifying JavaScript course before attending this course, as the two topics are highly complementary.
